About Us

Our dream at SIP is about being changed by God's love
a young generation that positively influences and shapes
the future of Bulgaria.
The fundamental elements that inspire us
At Smeli Izlsedovateli Priyateli, a.k.a. SIP (Brave Explorers Friends), we strive to adhere to, in addition to Christian values and love for nature, two basic principles. Over the years, they have helped us create unforgettable moments for everyone involved in our activities.

Our goal
Transmitting Christian values to create a healthy society with strong moral standards and responsibility towards others, society and the environment.

Our mission
To provide an opportunity for every child and every young person in Bulgaria to hear the good news in such a way that they decide to accept and follow Jesus and grow in faith.

Achievements in our activities over the years
SIP Bulgaria is a member of the Youngstars International association. We collaborate with their partners and members. The roots of Youngstars International come from the Swiss organization BESJ (Association of Evangelical Swiss Youth Groups), which was founded in 1974.

The SIP family
None of what we do would be possible without our dedicated team. Their motivation and love for what they do is at the heart of our camps.

Anastasia Mihaylova
Chairwoman of the Management Board of SIP Bulgaria.
I have been actively serving the organization since 2016 and over the years the Lord has given me more and more opportunities to serve him actively. To date, I actively organize and support our activities with teenagers.
Hans-Georg Gerster
Founder and head of SIP Bulgaria
I grew up in Switzerland with the "Youngstars" and I pass on this way of ministry to the younger generation.
My many years of experience working in construction and agriculture help me maintain and improve the base in the village of Kavlak, which since 2008 has been used as a location for camps and trainings of the SEA Bulgaria.

Rebecca Yaneva
Member of the Management Board
In 2015, I came to a SIP camp for the first time as a participant. One week at Kavlak completely changed the way my life unfolded – friends, direction, relationship with God. After that fateful summer, I left with a strong desire to be part of the team that creates this experience for others. Years later, I still serve actively at the camps and on the Board of Directors.
